News_omsi_wien.jpg

A piece of history will be back soon! In 2009, the High-Floor Bus LU 200 in Vienna retired. Thanks to OMSI Add-On Vienna you have the possibility of driving the legendary bus again. It is the first official Add-On for OMSI by which you go right across the Austrian capital. The challenging course was modeled very realistically with many objects and details and provides hours of endless fun for beginners and advanced OMSI fans alike. The pre-sale of the box is already started - make sure you get your own copy now.

25 Euro for a bus addon, that is outrageous, why would anyone pay that much money for one bus addon, You can buy whole games for cheaper than that.

Downloadable version is only 19.99 (where's the euro key?), I think that is completely fair, plus you got to remember you get a map too, which looks promising

FAQs:

What OMSI-version does it run?
The add-on has been explicitly built on the technical level with the possibilities of OMSI 1.0. However, there is a separate patch to OMSI 1.03 with new features, which are actively used in this add-on.

When will the download version appear in the Aerosoft shop?
The download will appear as soon as it is available.

What is the bundle?
A bundle would consist of the OMSI major version and the add-on. Primarily intended for all those who have not bought OMSI yet. Exact details are still pending.

Where will the add-on be available to buy?
Basically, the publisher Aerosoft is responsible for marketing and distribution. As it is with the OMSI major version, the add-on will be also available at well-stocked electronics markets.

Will there be a manual?
Yes
. The download version has in electronic form a handbook with all the information and explanations specific to be included, as well as all time table, track map,…
The boxed version will also has a printed booklet here.

Are there typical Viennese passenger voices?
Yes. There are completely new recordings of passenger voices with Viennese expression.

Are there passengers taken with AI-trams?
Yes, although it technically works in OMSI only one in the front area. The passengers go to the stations to the trains and get on/off at the front doors. The subway was not equipped with opening doors because of performance reasons, as these are not within the immediate focus.

Is it possible to control the AI-train by yourself
No. But you can take a seat on the driver's cab and explore the perspective of a tram or subway rider. The cabs are moderately replicated, but according to AI models greatly simplified in order to save performance.

Which drivers control the AI trains?
There are two types as bus drivers and tramway or subway riders in action.

Are there late or night trips?
The courses of the line 24A have all been created from the original schedule. There is a continuous line of operation from 04:44 (05:26 on Sundays and public holidays) from Kagran to 0:59 from Neueßling.

Does the bus type LU 200 have other paintings?
We have created this add-on in cooperation with Wiener Linien as it was in real. This bus generation had only this standard painting and no full or larger advertising painting. There are side billboards, as seen on our screens, partly given - so these are also only at some vehicle numbers, but not consistently (as in real!)

How does the door controlling work in the LU 200?
Basically, the passenger exchange is started by pressing the release button. All 3 doors open automatically if there is a stop request, door 2 and 3 close again automatically - door 1 has to be closed manually by the bus driver. Of course, there is the famous gong sound as a clearance signal. The precise control is explained in the manual.
